Boateng Events Top 8 Wedding Trends of 2014

Brides have certainly had their creative juices flowing in 2014! Keeping us on our toes as every bride strives to have the best day of their lifes. From the good ole days of throwing rice at the couple as they walk down the church steps to the modern day where flying white doves seems more desirable, the wedding industry is heading in a great direction. As we have enter the last month of the year, here is a list of the top 8 most requested item from Brides this year which we perdict every bride will undoubtedly be typing in their search bar as they plan their upcoming wedding:

1. Brooch Bouquet

Now ladies, this may just be the biggest wedding trend in 2014! We've found more brides moving away from the traditonal fresh flower option for their bouquet, to this more vintage and personal option. Whilst it can be as pricey, (if not more) than the conventional bouquet, unlike flowers, brooch bouques are a unique work of heart that will never wither and die. It is not just something that gets used for one day and discarded. It is a beautiful and lasting memory of your special day. It is a keepsake with strong emotional attachment that can be handed down to that someone special on their own special day.
It is also a great replacement for brides and grooms who have an allergic reaction to flowers. We have also seens lots of Brides incorporate family and friends brooches into they bouquet – so sweet! We believe this trend will continue well into 2015 and are very excited

2. Sparklers At Hand
Want to give your guests something elegant and fun to remember? How about some sparkles at hand? Hand held wedding sparklers are a fun and affordable way to engage your guests whilst giving  your photographers an opportunity to capture some really memorable shots. Everyone still has that child in them and sparklers are sure to ignite the little child in you. Have your bridal party hold them as you march into your reception room and your guests will almost certainly get that "little child" feeling as well. (if to be uses indoors make sure you buy the smokeless ones; you definitely don't want the firemen to show up!)

Or perhaps make it part of the grand exit for the Bride. You can make a great last impression in style with a wedding sparkler send-off, one of the hottest summer outdoor wedding trends! Plus, you get to steal the show – again! one last time.

3. Photo booths

The photo booth has become a popular fixture at wedding receptions as a form of entertainment and a way to
generate unique keepsakes for both the couple and their guests. It’s interactive for all guests by adding that pop of fun and excitement to your wedding reception. Couples are also moving toward photo booth guestbooks as suppose of traditional ones.

Photo strips are also replacing favors and more couples are choosing this specialty at their wedding because it gives their guest something tangible to take away from their wedding that they can scrapbook, frame, or hang on their fridge.

4. Ferrero Rocher Wedding Stand

Need I say more? We all love Ferrero Rocher chocolate and so what better way to thank and hue your guest with a heart shape tree or piramid full of Ferrero Rochers! This has gone down a treat in all weddings we supplied in 2014 with much repeat business coming from guests. This is guarnteed to be a must have for your event in 2015! They come in many differenct sizes and at it's largest can most certainly create a unique focal point at your wedding.

5. Wishing Wells

With more and more couples opting for cash gifts assuppose to a more tradditional wedding list, we have seen a surge in the popularity of wishing wells and post boxes. This can be decorated to suit your colour theme and embed itslef with all other decorations.

6. The First Dance On Clouds

Oh, the infamous saying, "I'm on Cloud 9" -- meaning extremely happy, blissful, and ecstatic! Not only does the first dance on clouds look unbelievable in pictures but it's also symbolic of the reason you're getting married. Just envisage as a newly married couple, you are announced into the reception to a round of huge applause. Then, the DJ announces your first dance together as husband and wife and you're suddently greeted with clouds for your fairy tale moment.

7. Uplighters

Many couple have chosen uplights this year to transform their wedding venue! Not only is lighting essential in making your venue look unbelievable by giving it texture,

but it also illuminates all of the decor that you spent countless hours (and money) planning to create. Lighting makes a difference and this is exactly why we're seen lots of our clients requesting it in 2014. It will bring life to the walls and will a dimension that you barely see at weddings.
This simple yet effective technique is sure to wow your guests by transforming your venue and adding ambiance. Clients consistently tell us that wedding lighting has added more "pizazz" and garnered more compliments than any other decoration at their reception.
Vibrant colors will make your wedding photos jump off the page.

Dazzle your g
uests with delicious bespoke cake pops, a beautiful change to the traditional wedding cake many Brides have opted for in 2014.
